Cherokee Plantation is nested on Little Sand Mountain in the heart of the beautiful Northwest Mountains. For four generations, the beautiful mountain land has been a part of the Owens family. The convenient, comfortable hunting and warm Georgian hospitality has attracted hunters from all walks of life. We offer something for everyone, from the father and son teams and family and friends hunts to the corporate hunting trips. The Plantation also provides golf carts during hunts for those with medical conditions or physical handicaps. The property contains open fields, running streams, food plots, and hunting tracts of pine and hardwood timbers. When you arrive to the plantation, you will feel as though you have stepped back in time.
The released birds are never hand fed in the field; they are provided with food plots. We raise the quail on our farm and house them in our outdoor flight pens. We flush them in the flight pen often to make their wings stronger. This provides a challenge for the most experienced hunter. Our Lodge is a rustic farmhouse with a picturesque wrap around porch and a breath taking mountain view. The lodge comfortably holds twelve hunters in a family atmosphere that provides down home southern comfort. The lodge is also available for weekend get-a-ways. You choose from a hearty chili, coups & stew style dinner to a full course meal.
